Thank you for taking the time to comment back. :) Wow 9 times in 9 years...yes that is definitely a military spouse. Our move to Bath was 9 for us too. I think the great part for you though is having that military community. I know each area has its pros and cons for military spouses. But hopefully in your new location you will be able to pull in your network from those resources. It can be daunting but I know you will do great things. xx

I can relate a lot to this post. Since I graduated Harding in 2004, I have moved 8 times. 8 times in 9 years. We will be moving again this summer, to make it 9 times in 9 years.

This will probably be my most devastating move yet, as I have really developed a strong "village" if you will, here. However, as the life of a military wife has taught me, I have learned to find the positives and almost crave the change to an extent. I look forward to the forced purging a PCS brings. I like that it has made me keep our furniture simple and not collect too much "stuff."

I am excited to move to a new place, but it can be devastating on any career. My national speech pathology license isn't recognized by the state of North Carolina. So I have not been able to even work "on call" here, despite being board certified. I'm hoping where we move next will be more friendly in that respect.
