I guess I was embarking on a scary new phase in my life and feeling sentimental. Since then I’ve got more in too scaling back my stuff, and while I do have sentimental things stored at my parents place, I regularly sift and scale back! Plus flats in the UK are teeny, so I can’t accumulate too much!

Now however, we are looking to move to London, and the only thing holding us back is saving to move! It will cost at the very least, about £500 but more than likely more. It’s stressful but like you said, you’ve gotta give up some things for the great experience of others!

Have you looked at gumtree for misc furniture and household appliances? (It’s the UK version of Craigslist if you hadnt) Some things are rubbish but you can stumble across some amazing deals. I got a vintage double bedframe, headboard and mattress for about 30 quid. Of course, then I sold it again when I moved in with Sam because moving things across London that do not fit into cars is impossible.xx
