Travel Tuesday: Railway in Wales

So glad to be back with you for another Travel Tuesday with my beautiful cohost Belinda from Found Love Now What?  Today I continue our journey in Wales with a voyage by the old steam railways.  It was a rainy day and a perfect one taking a ride through the Welsh countryside.

Hi Bonnie, thanks for hosting with Belinda again. I love these pics. Steam trains are so romantic and I like Harry Potter films too, but ssshhhh! x

I agree with Louisa. Steam trains are such a romantic means of travel. …and I also enjoy Harry Potter! Beautiful pictures!

A few different depending on what I need for the day. I have a point a shoot that works well in manual. These were taken with a Nikon DSLR

You are welcome! Right? Oh Speaking of which Louisa, on this day I brought up how they should have a HP steam engine that takes you through areas filmed and then has like a ‘live action performance’ on the train with refreshments just like in the books. Something like the Polar Express train that they do at Christmas time in areas…but HP themed! That would rock! x

So romantic…the sights the sounds the smells. Megan, read what I read below in Louisa’s comment about what they should have for harry potter fans! x

My eldest, Alfie, is 5 and now into HP too, if they did that with the train it would be awesome! x

Oh I love the name Alfie. I had not heard it much before coming back to England. We read it with the boys who are pretty upset Hogwarts is not real. Course so is my 25 year old sister. 😉 Stay tuned for an upcoming HP post from when we were in London last month! x

I loooove old trains sooooo much (hence the excessive ‘o’s)… especially on a rainy day – makes me feel so nostalgic for a time I’ve never known.

This looks so quintessentially Welsh! I love it :) What a perfect way to spend a rainy day in the UK countryside.

I love that wording ‘nostalgic for a time I’ve never known’ and I have to agree with you. 😉

It was perfect…well minus this was the occasion I spilled hot tea down my new white dress. hence why I am not pictured in this series. 😉

Bonnie, this is like my dream come true! What a fun train adventure. I love the atmosphere all the rain gives to your photos. Lovely!

This looks like such fun! I’ve always wanted to take a train ride, but sadly there aren’t very many of those in the US.

Oh wowww, what a lovely trip that would be. I think it just landed on my bucket list… or at least some UK rail tour. Just have to. Your photos are marvelous!

Hi Bonnie Rose, What a beautiful series of photos. There’s something so nostalgic and romantic about steam train travel and you really captured it. And the rain even made the scenes more dramatic. Looks like a wonderful trip.
