Travel Throwback #2: Australia

Gosford Australia

Welcome back to my new series for Thursdays on A Compass Rose called ‘Travel Throwback’.  Last week I shared a travel photo from my archives from Cambodia.   Today I wanted to share a photograph that I often use as a wallpaper for my desktop.  This is a photograph I took on a boat while in Gosford, Australia.  The time out on that lake was such a memorable one for me.  This trip to Australia had been long awaited and there were so many things that won over my heart.  On our time out on that boat we passed by a small island of land that was covered with Australian pelicans.  A few flew over the water and watching how these wonderful creatures lived was so beautiful. They may possibly be one of my favourite birds.  I cherish my moment out on that lake in Australia and glad to do a throwback post to my ‘home’ from the ‘Land Down Under’.

Wow what a fantastic photograph. Everything looks so still and so peaceful. Australia’s another place (I’m thinking of Cambodia from your last post) that I’ve not visited yet. I must go some day though. Every one of your posts is adding to my wanderlust at the moment! :)
