I cried behind my sunglasses taking this photo a few days ago of my son doing a bicycle safety activity.  My father lost his life four years ago today on his bicycle.

My friend Roxy visited my dad last week at the United States Air Force Academy, where he was laid to rest in 2008. Her boys left beautiful flowers on his tombstone. We have been reading the Hobbit with the boys. My dad used to rwad from this book to me when I was their age. I love re-experiencing Tolkien through their young eyes. Ryan reading to Ronan and Maddox (not pictured). My two boys handsome boys.
