Waiting in the Wings…

Today it is Tuesday, January 4th, and I am 38 weeks and 5 days along in my pregnancy. The expected due date of our son, Ronan Avi, is January 14th and he is measuring a week early at January 5th. I am hoping he will come early, though he may just come on the EDD and measure big. My husband and I are living out of our suitcase as we are living at a friends house for the time being. We are waiting on the arrival of Ronan so that we can make the move from Arkansas to Arizona. Every morning I wake up and rub my hands across my large belly and say, “Ronan are you coming out today?” My life has really slowed down these last two weeks. I am no longer a full-time student at two different schools at one time. There is no homework to complete, no exams to study for or take, no driving off to cosmetology school to work on completing my license. We no longer have an apartment to live in and therefore there is no cleaning or chores to manage, no more packing to take care of, and no moving boxes into storage to take care of. I spend my days no sleeping, trying to avoid heartburn, reading, praying with God, feeling braxton hicks and wondering if it could be the start of contractions. But as of today, there is no sign of labor quite yet. My every growing round belly still moves and and shakes as a foot will protrude from the side of my abddomen.
