Have you ever bought prescription glasses online or do you usually go to the optician to select your new frames? Up till now I have always tried on my glasses in person. I am that lovely near-sighted girl who continues to put on and take off different frames in comparison inches away from the mirror. Which do I like better? One or Two? For my throwback this week I share another polorid photo from my childhood. This one was taken by my dad on a camping trip he took my sister and I on one summer. We were at a campsite in Germisch, Germany. I had just learned how to cook a dinner of veggies and meat in foil over the BBQ at scouts and was ‘showing my dad’ how to do it. 😉 I think another great aspect of this photograph is the fashion my sister and I are wearing from the early 90’s.
I still love taking pictures with Polaroid film.
For me, it offers the most beautiful way of capturing reality
and transferring it onto a flat piece of paper.

This is a photograph taken with my dear friend Rungnapa on my second trip to Thailand in 2006. We first met when my husband and I were teaching English for the summer in Bangkok. While he could not be here for this trip, I wanted to show him the amazing Thai food he was missing back in California. Purposely we had the photo taken after we had just finished an amazing meal at Mama’s, a place we had frequented back in 2004. It is hard to have a bad meal when traveling in Thailand with the different flavourable tastes and wide variety of vegetables and fruit from the region in south east Asia. Continue reading
Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending the RSC Open Stages Skills Exchange in Wales. I was one of ten cast members from Bath Drama’s Romeo & Juliet cast to attend. The workshop was held in Cardiff at the Sherman Cymru Theatre over Saturday and Sunday. We participated in two workshops on both days that included: Stage Combat, Text & Voice, Movement, and Acting.
