Daddy picks up Ronan and puts him in his pack and play for a nap! Though he should be sleeping now, we can hear him squealing and giggling! Silly baby! Posted by Picasa

Monkey Business…

Well today I gathered up all our laundry and divided it into piles for me to take care of tommrow. No spiders were sighted. Whewww…. Eric and Ronan took an hour long walk and had a good time. After finishing with the clothes I was too tired to do much. Ronan and I watched several eps of my favourite show in sindication, M*A*S*H. Hawkeye is probably my favourite tv character on tv. Ryan came home and the guys got the dryer hooked up and running. YES! We took Eric to Fishersmen warf…it was beautiful out. Really warm and perfectly clear. Ronan got to shake hands with a monkey for a quarter…it was so cute! Then we had some really delicious fish straight from the bay. We came home and watched Meet the Fockers, which seemed even more hilarous than the first time we saw it. Ronan is asleep now and the men are watching Tomb Raider. I didn’t know Ryan liked this movie….I thought I was the only one who really loved it. So thats cool. Not really sure where Ryan and I are going to sleep now, since clothes have overtaken our room. But I’m exhausted now. Tommrow we want to go to the aquarium….Ronan is really excited!

We have had such a big day today. At 0400 Ronan was up and wanting some breakfast. I fed him in HIS room this time and then put him right back to bed. It worked. When he woke up again, Uncle Eric went to get him. I took the cue and slept in as long as I could. Then it was time to get out of bed and give Ronan his ‘second breakfast’ (LOTR reference). He was still really cranky, so we gave him an early morning nap and then he took another nap again not to soon after. Then he was much better and more pleasing to be around. Uncle Eric and Ronan played football and read about the Illini basketball team. The took a walk outside and Ronan showed off his farting skills tonight. The washer and dryer were delivered and Eric hooked them up. Except that they didn’t tell me I needed another cord, so the dryer isn’t ready yet. I was on the phone twice today with the DishNetwork people. The guy got her around 1700 and he didn’t leave till much later because he had to go and get a part he forgot. But all bitterness is gone now, because the tv is finally hooked up. Ryan and I just have a little anxiety over our first mobile phone bill though…I was put on hold a lot!

With Eric and Ronan having fun together, I have gotten a lot done. The kitchen is all unpacked and I just need to stock up the shelves with food and basic items. I’ve already gotten on the ball with my cool ice shape makers from IKEA. I’ve got enough ice for a party…if we were to have one. We hung up the wind chimes we got for our wedding outside and Ronan really likes playing with it and hearing the sounds. I looked at the plants outside and I’m thinking of ripping all except one out. Most look dying or dead. I don’t know what I want to put in its place yet. I do want to get some grass seed and sprinklers and get a pretty lawn. But we’ll focus on the inside of the house first. Oh for lunch I walked over to BK and got Eric and I some burgers….double cheese whopper for Eric and BK veggie for me. It takes 7 -10 minutes to walk there. Ryan hit up the commissary when he got home and I made tacos for dinner. It really hit the spot!

Well I need to get Ronan ready for bed…its past his bedtime. He just needs one last feeding and some nightime music. I am just so excited to be in our home and being able to cater to Ryan’s needs. He is going to be really stressed out with his language classes, so I want to do all I can to support and encourage him. We love you Ryan!
