But finally it was time to remove the netting from his tight grasp….we didnt want it falling down on top of him!
Monthly Archives: July 2005
We have had quite a busy two days! Yesterday I got a lot unpacked thanks to two factors. One, Ronan was really content playing by himself and took his naps. Two, we waited all day for the direct tv guy to come to have him not show. I could blog all about the direct tv guy not showing and the phone calls I made…but that would just be depressing. So instead I will gloat in the fact that I was able to get a lot unpacked and organized around the house. It is slowly starting to look like a home. We are in sore need of bookshelves, a computer desk (and chair), and something to put our socks and unmentionables in. So hopefully when Ryan phases up to phase three we can make a trip to IKEA. I picked up Ryan today at Presidio at 5. We then headed home to get the car unloaded from Ryan’s things. Then we went to pick up Eric from the drop off point downtown Monterey. Ronan and I took Ryan and Eric to the german cafe where we had breakfast with Grandpa Chuckles. The guys ordered italian styled pizzas and I ordered curry brat with sourkraut, cabbage, and german potato salad. Yum Yum! We started to watch a movie when we got home, but Ryan and I were so tired. We called it a night and that was that. I think Ronan is going to really like having his uncle here for the weekend!
Ryan came home!
Ryan came home tonight! We were so excited! I made him tortellini with tuna. Well thats about it for now…..Ryan’s home! Yipee!
Not another Manic Monday…
Today Ryan got phased up to phase 2. He has a lot of paperwork and processing to do, in order to move off base. He was pretty disappointed that he didn’t get to come home today. He may not get to come home till Wednesday, but we have our fingers crossed for tommrow. The longer it takes, the more unpacking I will get done.
Today was national spitup day…or at least in Ronan’s world it was. I am not kidding, every time I looked around there was more spitup on his clothes or coming out of his mouth. I must of eaten something yesterday though that made him very gassy today. I kept thinking he needed a diaper change, and it was just him passing gas. He was kinda smelly….but his hair smelled really good. (thanks to the Paul Mitchel baby-dont-cry shampoo). So let me get on my soap box and say that if you are using Johnson and Johnson on your baby’s head and skin…please, please, (for the love of God and all humanity!) stop using it now. Go into your cabinets find all it and throw it away. Or do what I did, and give it away to someone who is going to use it no matter what you say. Then go to your stylist and buy the baby shampoo by Paul Mitchell called Baby-don’t-cry. It has a ph between 4.5 and 5.5 (ph balanced to the natural ph of our hair and skin….don’t be fooled by ph balanced products because that means its a 7 on the ph scale!!! Still too harsh!). J and J producst are up there near a 12 on the ph scale next to head and shoulders. That stuff can take wax off walls. Enough said.
A lot happened today, I didn a lot of errans, driving around, taking care of Ronan. But now I’m just typing away and I can’t really remember much. I just hope Ryan can come home tommrow. If now I will be picking him up and then picking up his brother Eric. Hopefully there will be a place for him to sleep when he gets here.
Time to sign off….

This is the cool lamp i got from Target for only $20. The sale small desk lamps for the same price! It is pretty cool because it has three lighting settings. I put our warm red light bulb in teh orange one. So the setting with the orange and green lamps makes a warm sebdued lighting. The white and blue ones in the back make a nice bright light. All together it equals out to a very cool lighting effect!
