What a Wonderful Morning
This morning I could not remember how Ronan got in our bed. Did I go to his room and retrieve him for his early morning breakfast? Did Ryan bring him in before he left for work this morning? Anyhow, Ronan had his breakfast and we both went back to sleep. My new bed is amazing. It is a foam mattress from IKEA and is fairly firm. It said it had a medium firm level…so I wonder what the highest firmness feels like! I love my new duve also! It feels like a giant flatten marshmellow! I was asleep for quite a while and went in and out of dreams. I would wake up and notice Ronan was awake. Seeing that he was perfectly safe and making himself happy, I would fall back asleep. He let me sleep in till 0900…don’t tell Ryan! Just kidding, but the poor guy has to be up so early for work. After that Ronan played so I could enjoy the last cinnimon rolls from IKEA. I gave him a mixture of fruit and veggie puffs and watched him pick them up and put them in his mouth. Now I am back from putting him down for his first nap (I don’t know if I should count the nap in the morning, since we are both in bed still!). We are going to have a busy day today. I have a lot of cleaning up around the house to do. It has gotten pretty messy with all the building furniture we have been doing. I also don’t think a single dish has been washed all weekend…gross! I am dreading doing the dishes and I only wish our DW was working properly. It is fairly old and can only handle light loads of dishes that look clean to begin with. I also have a doctors appointment this afternoon and I’ve decided to just bring Ronan with me. If that turns out to be a problem, they can reschedule. It is just a meet the doctor and get a referral for the ENT appt. anyways. I need to go to the bank and deposit a check (we spent a lot at IKEA ((It was furniture we really needed, not just wanted)) and paid for our new car for what the bank didn’t give us) to get us through till next payday. I hope this particularly good mood Ronan is in now will run through out the day. He is just being such an angel right now. Maybe he is really enjoying eating some solid food (besides the puffs). Though his diapers are more gross, he seems happier. I love a happy baby…especially when he is mine. I need to quickly post on my other blogs: the Silent Ranks, Knitty Gritty, and Third Culture Kids. Then its time to finish my to do list around the house!
Well I was able to drop Ronan off at the CDC before heading out to do my errans. I was a little sad to leave him, but there were no prolonged goodbyes. I went to the bank, found where the doctor’s clinic was located, went to staples to get a longer cord for our interent connection, and then went back to the doctor’s clinic for my appointment. I really like my doctor, he is awesome. I got my referrals, so hopefully soon I will have those doctor appointments. I went to pick up Ronan and noticed there were several children crying in the room already. As I signed Ronan out, I tried to hear if he was one of them. I didn’t hear him, so I felt relieved. But I don’t know if I just didn’t hear him or if he started when he heard my voice…but then I heard his cry. I wanted to like throw myself over the half gated door and run to his side. But I figured the more sane thing to do would be to actually open the door and walk to him. I looked at his teary eyed face and my heart just felt for him. I never liked these child development centers when I was little either. Luckily I only went there a few times so my parents could go on a date. Ronan was fine as soon as he was in my arms again. As we were leaving one of the ladies came up to tell me what an amazing baby he is and how good he was today. That made me very proud of him. We got home and I fed him and let him watch his movie. I really don’t want to leave him at the CDC anymore. I hope I can find someone else to watch him soon. Especially since I have several doctor appointments coming up in the next month. Ronan is being really cute right now and I just want to cuddle with him. I wish we could watch M.A.S.H together, but the 4 episodes have already come and gone for today. I still need to clean like crazy and try to get Ryan’s desk put up. I would really like to take a nap in our totally cool looking bedroom. It is so relaxing in there. You just walk and in and your muscles relax. Nice.

But hey, a break is nice, and Daddy enjoyed some time with his son!
