Moms Time
I was up before Ryan, feeding Ronan in his room, when Ryan’s alarm went off. I had to get something out of the trunk of his car before he left for work. So pretty much, I was AWAKE after he left. I didn’t make it back to bed. Ronan got some shut eye, while I posted pictures of Ronan on the blog. I made Ronan a bottle (one for the road) and woke him up a little before it was time to leave the house. We went walking today and I carried Ronan in my front backpack carrier so that he was facing out like a baby kangaroo. The other moms thought I was crazy and would hurt my back. But I felt fine then and feel fine now. It was a different kind of workout then pushing Ronan, and everything else we tote along, in the jeep stroller. Nobody was really talkative this morning so Ronan and I had a very quiet walk by ourselves most of the way. When I would get at a fast tempo, he would start talking and singing, which made me smile. We got home and Ronan had a bottle before we left for Mom’s Time. There was one familiar face from Parent’s Place and two new faces. It always varies, who shows up every friday. I haven’t been every week, and when I am there it is always new faces. Sometimes the group is small and sometimes it is smaller. But it is a nice place to hang out on a friday morning. I thought the selection of mummies this week was quite interesting. Now I no longer have my tongue pierced, but still sport my starlet tatoo on my foot. Out of the three mummies present, one had a tongue piercing, one had a tattoo on her lower back, and the other had a nose stud. Pretty hip mamas woudn’t ya say? Ronan had fun interacting with a little girl 4-5 days older than him. They shared their toys and were really cute. We left and I ran an erran, while our car ran on fumes. Back at home Ronan watched his movie and I put him down later for his nap. We thought he was ready for bed tonight after 1830….but apparently not. An hour later, he sounded fussier, but still wasn’t snoozing in his pack n’ play. His excuse was that he was talking on the phone to grandparents. Hopefully tonight he will go to sleep earlier enought that it is not considered late. He has a busy day alone with his daddy tommrow.
