I should either be sleeping or cleaning right now. I am not cleaning because there is only a little left to do. The rest can be done tommrow while I wait for him to show. Though I have not enough energy left to clean, my body is too awake to try to sleep anyways. Instead of lying there in bed, tossing and turning, and letting my mind run a mile a minute, I’ve decided to blog. This will be great though. I’ll be exhausted tommrow, stuck out of our house for four hours, and Ronan will be wide awake! Life is funny.
The orientation at the CDC left a better impression in my mind of Ronan’s future experiences there. The main lady who will be taking care of him, Ms. Danika, is really awesome. She has a lot of really original ideas and has such a loving heart. One thing she does is have an open house. Can you imagine how special it would be to go to an open house at your infant’s “school”? Apparently she’ll let Ronan do things like finger paint and Ryan and I can come see it! She also takes a lot of pictures and makes collages of each infant, so the parents can see what their child is up to. The spend time outside every day and Ronan could play in the sand. I don’t know what the price is for at home day care, so I cannot do a comparison yet. For $4 an hour (up to 20 hours per week) Ronan can do the hourly care at the CDC. Maybe next payday we can start sending Ronan for a few hours every week. I need to have time to exercise and maybe this would be a good way to get that time alone. I also would like to return to school…we’ll have to see how it all works out.
Ronan is just getting cuter and cuter every day. Is that possible? He is making a lot of new sounds and doing new things with his mouth/tongue every day. I haven’t had the time to make him new baby food yet, but I know he is ready. He acts hungry after I feed him mummy milk, licks his lips a lot, and wants to go after our food (even if we’ve finished the food on our plate!). He is very curious about food, but it is still taking a while to get him to eat it. He does like the banana rice cereal that Ryan bought him. At least he ate it from him the other night. He took a bottle from me tonight. Oh, that would be one thing that would save us money. I can bring emptly labled bottles to the hourly care and they will give Ronan formula. I think its the same kind that I’ve been giving him at home. That would save us a lot of money since formula is pretty expensive! I also was given a food chart. Every time he tries a new food I can put it on there with the date, and she’ll try to feed him what I have listed. That would be great!
I will blog more later and post new pictures, hopefully!
