Ronan and I left this morning to go walking with the other mummies, but we were the only ones there. Apparently everyone’s husbands had the day off (being prior service) so they stayed home. Ryan (coming straight out of bmt) had to report in. We walked around the neighbourhood for 35 minutes before coming back to the house. My legs are still pretty sore from Wednesday. At 1000 we went to the playgroup at the CDC. We were the first ones there and I almost thought I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. But slowly other mommies with other babies showed up. I found out about these neat soft soled shoes for babies through toddlers (shoe size 4). The main brands are Buskins or Robeez.

Buskins say this about their shoes, “Let your child’s feet develop naturally with Buskins baby shoes. Soft-soled, non-skid Buskins shoes allow for natural foot development and provide protection too. With a glove-leather sole and upper, they provide baby with all the developmental benefits of walking barefoot. Leading pediatricians recommend that babies and toddlers not wear hard-soled shoes as much as possible until they are two years old. Babies feet start off nearly flat, with little arch. The baby is able to build up the arches and strengthen the ankles by wearing shoes like Buskins. Most shoes also have the additional benefit of being easy to slip on, yet nearly impossible for baby to take off!

Since Ronan can’t find socks that fit him, or keep them on his feet, we are going to opt for this route. Now if I can only decide which ones to get him! The above selections are our favourite!

(HINT-HINT! WINK! WINK! NUDGE! NUDGE!)

We left playgroup early because Daddy was home. We picked him up from the gas station (his car needed an oil change) and we went home. Soon after it was back out for a financial counseling appointment. Cliff helped tweek our budget and gave us some useful tips. We went to blockbuster tonight to rent two free movies and pick up a free movie to keep from our blockbuster online membership. Three movies out at a time and keep them as long as you want…plus coupons to use in the store! Way cool!

We went to sleep pretty early tonight after a dinner of tater tots with HP sauce. Like we were in bed before 2030!
