So I was told to give Ronan lots of meat. Well the only meet we really have in the house is tuna and sandwich meat. Since I needed the tuna for our dinner, I tried giving him some warmed up turkey. I tore it in pieces and even tried to eat some myself, but he was NOT interested in eating anything. We couldnt even get his mouth to open. So once again all he had to eat today was formula and a bite of tuna from the can I used.
Ronan is still working crawling. He won’t get too far yet. But we definitly cannot leave him alone anymore because he can get into anything he wants now.
He is still saying mummamumma which is really cute. I can’t wait till he figures out what it means!
Tonight was his first swim lesson at the sports center in town. We had to park on the other side of the tennis courts so it was a little walk to the center. I wore my suit underneath my clothes so it was pretty easy to ge ready for the pool. We met another mommy and her son while we were in the locker room. Both babies were pretty excited about going to the pool. When we got to the swimming pool we joined all the other kids and parents on the bleachers while the previous classes finished their class. I think Ronan’s class is called the starfish class. But anyways, they called the name of his class and we all got in the pool. We sang songs and practiced going under the water. We played with rings and had our babies jump from the side of the pool into the water.
Our instructor told me to count to three and blow on his face on three. When you do that babies usually close their mouths so you can dunk them. Every time I tried Ronan opened his mouth. Needless to say every time we did it he probably swollowed water. But he had a good time. He loved chewing on the ring they passed out. He was an even better swimmer from last time he go in a pool. I would put my hands on his chest and he would be tummy down in the water. Basically I’m just supporting him so he doesn’t drown. Ronan did all the work by kicking and even using his arms to get around. I would put a toy in front of him and he would swim to it! It was so neat! The only time he got upset was when I returned a rubber duckie to the bin and we got out of the pool. He wanted to swim for longer than thirty minutes. I admit the class went by really fast.
The hard part was getting us both dry and dressed in the locker room. It was a challenge with a baby. We came home and told Daddy all about his swim lesson.
