Ronan was awoken when daddy left this morning. Our day started right then, not later. Ronan was hungry and wanting a new diaper. Both dogs needed to go potty and hadn’t been outside yet. I was still trying to open my eyes as I made my way to the hallway.
Later I tried having Ronan watch the huffalump movie so I could eat, but he was a little restless. I’m trying to comfort him and the two dogs who have decideded they want to be rubbed. You can’t rub one dog with out the other dog getting jelous. Finally I just put Ronan down for a nap and try to fend the dogs off so I can make myself something to eat. I find one last can of soup left and heat it up. I sit down and eat a few bites when I hear someone at the door.
Ryan is home. Apparently the car needs to be fixed. So I go wake up Ronan and get him dressed very quickly. I put my hot soup back in the kitchen and we head outside with Ryan. I am finding it really hard to drive today because the fort where we live and the whole of Monterey is covered in a very thick white fog. I can barely see the car in front of me. We drove over to NPS (Naval Postgraduate School) and Ryan went inside the autohelp while I got Ronan out of his carseat. We make our way by the scary looking geese to Ryan who has emerged from the exit. We can’t get our car worked on until Monday and even then it is going to put us even more in the hole by $300. Ronan and I back track to the car and I put Ronan straight back in his carseat again. To which, he isn’t very happy. We drive back home so we can put the car under our carport. Ryan gets in our car and we drive back to Presidio to drop Ryan off at the squadron. Ronan finds comfort by chewing on his rubber bracelet (Harry Potter addition this time) while we drive back home.
I notice a new family moving in across the street, so Ronan and I go over to say hello. I introduced myself as the vice mayor and told the mother about a few of the activities that are available. Ronan and I head home and I am able to get Ronan to chill for a few so I can scarf down my luke warm soup. The fussing baby is getting too much for my headache to handle, so I lay him down on his belly in bed. He puts up a fight for about 20 minutes until he finally goes to sleep.
All this by 1100 hours…
Around 1330 Ronan learned something new! He can now say “Mummummumma!” Though I don’t know if he knows what he is saying means that is who I am, he sounds awfully cute saying it. He went back to using the “b” sounded word and when I would show him with my mouth to make the “m” sound he would go back to saying Mummmamma. What a cutie!
