Street Art in Brighton, England

streetart_brighton-england

One of my most favourite things about being in Brighton, England was being able to finally say I had seen a Banksy street art piece in person. There are a few in Brighton and the city boasts many interesting pieces that will continue to change through out the year.  Here are some of my favourites from Brighton as captured by my iPhone with the Hipstamatic app.   263669_683554659531_4127584_n268649_683554679491_1630526_n250338_662882741221_347947_n254096_663774474181_6695903_n253639_662876518691_2972766_n247905_662876543641_852068_n

Q: Have you gotten to see a Banksy and if so which one and where?

Last week I really loved Margo’s post 6 Steps to Make the Most of a Day in Venice.  Not only does she have the best tips (like eating pizza!) but I fell in love with her travel photography. She has a way of making you feel like you are on a trip to Italy with her and it is second best to being there in person.  As someone who has grown up in Italy and has been to Venice, I felt very homesick and enjoyed her post very much.

Next week is the last Tuesday of the month which means it is our themed Travel prompt! Feel free to join in if you like.  The theme will be:

Share three places…the place you have been that you have loved the most, the place you cannot wait to visit, and something about the place you live.

Also next week we announce the cohosts for the next three months! Stay tuned!

Now on to the link up! To link up with us, make sure to comment below and with my cohosts Melanie and Tina. Then hop around and share the love and experience more wanderlust from the other participants.  The full details are below and as always, have fun!

I love the street art! I’m a bit of a nerd so the Hoth scene with the AT-ATs might be my favorite. the cars on pins are pretty impressive though – are those real cars?

  • Laura Rocksteady

I love street art and taking photos of it – I think the best cities for street are (well from my experience) are Brighton, Bristol, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Bratislava

  • Travel with Intent

I love Banksy too, but I haven’t seen these. I’ve seen a couple in London. Shoreditch is a brilliant place to go for street art.

  • Travel with Intent

And thanks for recommending Margo’s blog – I enjoyed her Venice post very much

  • Phoebe Thomas

Those all look great, but I particularly like the cars hanging up. I haven’t seen any Banksy, though I’m hoping next time I visit my cousin in Cheltenham I will as one popped up right next to his house a couple of weeks ago!

  • http://letuswanderlust.blogspot.com/ Carly @ Let Us Wanderlust

I love street photography and street art and these are great! The picture of the cars hanging reminds me a lot of Cadillac Ranch in Texas – we saw it briefly during our road trip!

  • http://www.amyandthegreatworld.com/ AmyMacWorld

This is incredible street art! Most of the street art I see around here is sloppy graffiti…this is actually lovely!

  • Rosie @Eco-Gites of Lenault

Those pics are fab! I love street art, I really need to get to Brighton on a trip back to Blighty! Although having said that a Banksy has appeared why my brother lives in Cheltenham – that might be easier!
