Travel Throwback #10: Grand Canyon

This week is a somber week for my family and so my Travel Tuesday post will be to share some more photographs of my father. A man who since the age of seventeen lived a life of travel and adventure.  He loved being in the outdoors and exploring his world.  Here are some photographs of him at the Grand Canyon.  My family had taken us there years before this when my sister and I were primary school aged.  I remember how amazing the location was to see in person.  Love seeing my dad getting to enjoy its beautiful trails one more time before he died.

What beautiful memories to be able to share. Your Dad looks so happy in these pictures and it is clear how he influenced you! I would have to say that I didn’t have much influence, but my brother and I have always spurred one another on!

I don’t have a direct influence like you from your father, I just saw so many beautiful things on tv :)

Really enjoyed reading this weekends Travel Tuesday and seeing such lovely photos of your dad. My father (who has also passed away) was also a huge influence on my with regards to travel – he had been to over 40 countries and always had the best stories and had a passion for seeing the world and sharing it with me :)

I think that is such a great quality to pass down. What a lovely gift they bestow after their passing. :) hugs.

My grandma has inspired me to travel. She is in her 80s and still enjoys traveling overseas every year or so. I hope I am as healthy and adventurous as her though out my life!
