Just a click post on the blog to let you know we arrived safely today to Monterey. The weather is AWESOME!!!! It was clear today and the bay was beautiful! I met my neighbor today and she seemed very nice. Right now we are hanging on base with Ryan. He has grown a mustache….Ronan thinks it looks cool. I am about to kill the car. It is not my favourite person…well thing right now. There are LOTS of steep hills here and I had to stop at a red light. When it turned green I pushed the gas pedal, nothing happened, and it started to roll backwards. I almost hit the car behind me. They figured it out and pulled out and passed me. I finally just got out and let my dad drive. I was already flustered because Ronan was hungry (and letting us know about it) and I wanted to be on time to meet Ryan. Then the car has been doing this stupid thing for weeks now. It is an automatic, yet on a hill or sometimes on flat surfaces, it will stall or take a while to start going. I cannot possibly drive this car much longer in a place with steep hills. Tonight we attempt to unload the car. I am so excited to be in our new house. Tommrow we have a lot of errans to run and on Friday we are hitting up Ikea. Ryan starts the process of moving off base on Monday. So hopefully the paperwork part won’t take too many days.

Here is Ronan…passed out on his nest. Wow he really has grown! I can’t imagine he “used” to sleep in this when we brought him home from the hospital! I hadn’t gotten his bed set up yet, so this was the only thing I could find to put him in for bedtime. Doesn’t he look so cute sleeping next to his cowboy monkey!
Leaving Tucson!
Time to Pack ALREADY!
Okay so today is going to be a long grueling day of packing. Yes, most of our stuff is in the garage already in boxes. But the task at hand is to get everything we have unpacked and bought during the 5 months of living with my parents, packed back up. Sigh….
Ronan is being cute and hopefully can play by himself a lot today.
Well we have the majority of our stuff in the 26 ft. truck outside the house…the thing is huge! There is still a lot of packing to do (procastinators with babies don’t mix with moving!) and anything that needs to go into the truck is going to have to wait till morning. Arizona is known for the monsoon season, and it has decided to start tonight. You can hear the wind outside roaring, the sky is very dark, and it has already started raining. Now I could stay up all night packing, but that would be insane, since I’m driving tommrow. But really it won’t take me more than another hour of non interupted work. So later tonight I will get it done. Also, God has really showered us with blessings. Friends came over to help load the truck and gave us a sofa and loveseat, which I believe have a queen and twin size bed inside, by lazyboy. Another girl donated two coffee tables and a cd tower. My parents have graciously given us their dining room table, chairs, entertainment center, rockign chair, and daybed. So we went to having no furniture to having plenty! That will make our shopping trip to IKEA stretch farther for things to make our new home look amazing. Since we do not have to buy much more furniture……oh I can buy a washer and dryer now!!!! God has truly blessed us. Not sure if I will post more tonight. I need to burn a few roadtrip cds and then pack this baby up. Next time you hear from me I will be in Monterey! Please pray for Ronan, my dad, and I as we drive my car and a huge moving truck for 13 plus hours tommrow. We hope to do it in one day!
I get to see Ryan on Wednesday!!!! Wahooo!!!!! I cannot tell you how excited I am to be a family again in our own place, and not living out of a suitcase!

I turn to look at Ronan, and he has awaken from his very short nap. It took me forever to get him to sleep. The last time he did this was when we were trying to pack for our trip to Monterey. I think he knows something is up. I have just banished my son to his Nonna’s bedroom. Time to spend some quality to with her before we leave early, early, (hopefully) early tommrow!
