We went to church today at Mt. Avenue and said goodbye to everyone. Ronan was really good in church and enjoyed sitting up front with Grandpa during the childrens worship. We had lunch at one of my favourite places. It was nice, but since it is in the triple digits in Tucson…we were all melting by the time we got home. You really don’t want to be outside AT ALL in June/July in Tucson. We watched a lot of Lance today with Grandpa who is rooting for his victory! Go Lance, Go! As we were watching Lance Ronan learned how to clap! He has been clapping his thigh with his left hand a lot already. But I would clap and Ronan would mimic me. He didn’t make any noise with his clap, but was able to get both of his hands to hit eachother. I couldn’t believe my eyes! How fantastic! Ronan you are brilliant!

Still Scrapbooking….
I don’t think we left the house today. Oh wait, we did. My daddy and I went to get Ronan’s new carseat put into the car by a proffessional. No sense in either of us melting in the heat to find out we can’t get it put in right. We went first to our firestation. They did not have anyone qualified to do it. They called another firestation and it was the same thing. Now my question is: If none of the firefighters can attend the week long training, how do they expect new parents to put them into the car? They sent us to a baby store where we paid a guy $20 to do it for us. He deserved the money though. He was a big guy and had to get in the backseat of my small car to figure it out. Poor guy. He was reallllllllllllllllllly sweaty when he was finished. But Ronan now has a new carseat that he can sit in. They say that they can be front facing when he is 1 year AND 20 lbs. But the guy who put it in suggested he should be at least 16 months old, because it would be like Ronan hitting the stearing wheel at 50 mph to his harness if we got in a wreck. So Ronan may be sitting rearfacing until he is 2!
Well I did a lot more scrapbooking today…it is really addicting. I need to get more photos developed from my digital selection and get some more paper. But that will have to wait till we are settled into our house in Monterey. Ryan asked me on the phone how much money I have spent on scrapbooking. I told him I couldn’t hear his question. Which was correct for the first two times he asked. He figured out I was pulling his leg though, when I changed the subject. I see my scrapbooking kit, as my mummys day gift. My daddy told me to tell Ryan that the scrapbook really looks great. I know Ryan will appreciate it compared to a shoebox of photos that never gets looked at.
HARRY POTTER!!!!
So Ronan and I went to the base to get some last minute things taken care of for our move. Then we got Ronan a new carseat at Target because he is a the max weight limit for his infant one (not to mention his feet are hanging off of it!). Then we went to the scrapbooking party at Sandras. We had so much fun and Ronan got lots of attention from the ladies. I learned how to make pretty hawaiian flowers with my scrapbooking tools from Creative Memories.
Then it was time to meet Grandpa Chuckles at Barnes and Noble for the Harry Potter party. Ronan got his picture taken with the crew of people that dress up for the event. We remember seeing them from the last book release at Barders a few years ago. But we couldn’t last till Midnight and later, so we left early. We will pick up our books tommrow and we still get 40% off, so that rocks!
Oh Ronan was so cute…he went as Baby Harry Potter and had a scar on his forehead and everything! My favourite costumes that I saw were the children who dressed up as house elves! How cute!
