Left the camera at home

No pictures today…
though there would have been a lot of good photo ops:
1) As we left the house for church, we saw the usual seven wild neighbourhood turkeys in the yard next to ours.
2) The look on my face as we pulled up to a church we chose to try out, and saw jumping castle set up next to it.
3) Ronan, facinated by the ceiling fans, keeps looking up and leaning his head back.
4) Ronan singing and dancing to the worship band…he loved the music!
5) Daddy holding Ronan in his arms as they sing out praises to God.
6) Already chewed, soggy, and sticky fruit puffs (in a new cherry flavour) going from Ronan’s mouth to his clothes….gross!
7) In the nursery, Ronan plays with a over-sized rattle on the floor. He love rolling it around and hearing the noise it makes.
8) Ronan smiling back at everyone (from his jeep) who comes over to tell him how cute he is!
9) Ronan meeting Justin and Audrey, as we wait for the potluck to start (a. this is the reason they had the jumping castle, b. what a great day we chose to start coming to this church). Justin has been in the USMC for four years and they just arrived last week from his last duty station in Hawaii. He will be learning Arabic. They also found the church from the website. What a coincidence!
10) A very little girl walks over to Ronan to see why he is crying. (He has missed two naps already…) He immediatly stops crying, when he sees this adorable little girl (reminded me of shirly temple meets olivia from the Cosby show) I wasn’t sure if he was facinated by her or intimated. He loves “older women” but when girls near his age come over, he clams up. If their mother comes over, he smiles away!
11) Ronan being rocked to sleepin his jeep by one (of many) friendly church members, so Daddy and Mummy can get their food.
12) Daddy and Ronan looking for a super soaker at Target
13) Daddy and Ronan looking for a super soaker at the PX
14) Daddy and Ronan sad because they cannot find a super soaker.

15) Mummy trying to figure out why they don’t have any socks for Ronan’s foot size. They have 0-3 months and then shoe size that is three times bigger than his foot!
16) Ronan sitting in between Mummy and Daddy on the couch as we watch the Godfather, pt. 2.
17) Ronan laughing and talking with Daddy as he is swaddled and in his bed. (Around 1700 sometime.)
18) Mummy and Daddy wondering how long Ronan will sleep for as they finally make it to bed (its now 0200)

Block Party

This morning Ronan got in bed with mummy for a morning feeding, while Daddy left for work. When we woke up, I went to change Ronan’s diaper, and Daddy came back home. Yes…we slept in for a good long time! But it felt good…no early morning headache! We were busy getting ready this morning (plus a quick emergency run to the px for diapers) for the block party in our neighbourhood. First we had our hotdogs and Ronan got to see three month old triplets. They were awfully cute! Ronan got his face painted for the first time. He got a yellow star! Then it was time for us to work the front table. I had volunteered to help for the block party. We got to talk to some people about where to go to get good Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese food. Yum Yum!
We came home and Ronan watched a few minutes of his video, before taking a much needed nap. Daddy and I watched the GodFather. I really liked it! Yes, it was my first time ever seeing it. The music rocks! Ryan said the second movie has less action, but more suspense. I can understand why it lacks in action…almost EVERYONE died in this one! I blinked and another person was dead! Not that I support murder, but I was so glad when the sister’s husband got wacked! I couldn’t believe he was the reason Sonny got murdered…and on the way to help his sister! But enough mafia talk. Ronan is being super cute tonight playing with his toys. He is so excited to see Grandpa Chuckles and Nonna in two weeks!

We put Ronan in his jeep and take him to the block party in our neighbourhood. Ronan met three month old triplets and watched mummy and daddy eat hot dogs! Posted by Picasa
