Ronan shows his panda bear how to play with the toys. Well it has already been a busy morning. Ronan and I say goodbye to daddy early this morning while Ronan was having breakfast. Then later Ronan finally pursuaded me that it was indeed time to get out of bed. I had my bowl of cereal while Ronan ate his strawberry-apple fruit puffs. Playtime followed and I did some updating to the blog online. I admit I love blogging. I just wish I had more control of the design and layout. With blogger.com you don’t really have that freedom. I have tried looking at codes from other blogs that I like and trying to put it into my blogs code. But since they are mostly movable type and typepad, it doesn’t mesh with the blogger.com code. I don’t know if I want to ask Ryan about paying monthly for a better bloging site. I just keep thinking if I look at the code long enough, I will figure it out! My head hurts from staring at the computer. Ronan just went down for his first nap and I have made the important phone calls that I needed to make. We don’t have the car today, but hopefully we will be able to get our new car this weekend. The loan office at the bank was “down” on saturday (LONG STORY), so we weren’t able to get the loan, to get the car, to get the furniture at IKEA, to unpack the rest of our stuff…..Sigh.
Well Ryan came home from work a little before 1730. He was briefing me over the latest on the car loan and what I needed to do at the bank tomorrow. I was racing around getting ready and grabbing what I needed to leave the house. Ronan is awake from his nap and crying in his room. I pick up Ronan, hand him to Ryan, quickly explain how to make a bottle of formula (as well as pointing out where the bottles are kept), and leave the house, forgetting my mobile phone. As I’m driving to my class at the ACS, I realize that this is the first time (in a long time) that Ryan has been left a lone with Ronan for a good period of time. I also realize that I have forgotten my phone and know that I am already running late. The class I was attending was the first section of ‘Welcome to the Military’, for spouses. Most of it was a refresher for me and I tried hard to stay awake. Then some of it was new information for me now that I am a military wife, from that of a ‘BRAT’. It was very geared towards the Army, so that made it a little different. The only other USAF wife in there was actually born in England, like me! Her dad was also in the USAF and her husband is also learning Chinese at the DLI. What a coincidence! Four hours later I made it home, exhausted and hungry. Apparently shortly before I arrived, Ronan had just gone down to sleep. There had been a lot of crying while I was gone, but Ronan did take two bottles of formula. Ryan looked beat, and I felt really bad for not having dinner made for either Ronan or Ryan before I dashed out of the house. It was just a really crazy day! I made Ryan and I some dinner and at 2300 we finally ate. I fed Ronan before retiring for the night. I really missed him while I was gone and constantly thought about him in class. I loved just watching him eat as I held him close to me. I don’t know how I am going to leave him and go back to school.
