I take you today to London to easily my top favourite place to eat, Tiroler Hut Restaurant. It is an Austrian restaurant that we found randomly while taking a walk from where we were staying in Notting Hill. We went there for dinner with my family, my mum, my sister, and my husband’s father who were all in town for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. My sister and I were so excited to find a little bit of ‘home’ in London. When we lived in Italy and Germany growing up as young girls we often went to Austria with our dad for skiing and snowboarding. For me it was a way to remember my father while enjoying a great meal.
The food was not only delicious but very authentic. We ended up sharing bites so everyone could taste it all. The best part was that you could get the beer in huge lager glasses. Our waiter, dressed in traditional Austrian dress, carried I believe seven of them in one hand! My son got to go up front and help play the cow bells during an entertainment portion of dinner which was really fun for our group. We ended up having so much fun that after we got back to Lauren’s house, my sister, husband and I chose to go back there for drinks. So we had more drinks and got up and danced with all the other patrons who hailed from all over the world like we had been friends for a long time. For this expat couple it was one of the best evenings out we have ever had.

Travel Tuesday Themed Prompts are Back! The last week of the month (that will be next week), Travel Tuesday runs under a theme and the one for next week will be Travel Tips. Please interpret it any way you like – it could be specific to a destination or general. What you want to share!
Every week my co-hosts and I select a blog post from the last week’s link up that we enjoyed to feature on our blogs. It is always hard to narrow it down to one and this week I had to give a shout out to Kailagh Anne and her photographs from Apostle Island National Lake Shore. “Surrounded by millions of icicles, a couple being stories tall, these ice caves really demonstrate beauty of the Frozen Northwood’s”, says Kailagh Anne and the photographs are really incredible. It looked like an amazing experience that I would love to see with my family one day too.
Do not forget to head over to my co-hosts blogs, Melanie and Tina and leave some comment love on their Travel Tuesday posts today. You can see who they picked to feature from last week’s link up too! Plus share your travel stories and wanderlust addictions with us all in the link up below!
