A Very long day…but full of laughs!

Well I put Ronan down for his morning nap and got myself all dolled up for a day out on the town…or errans…whatever, right? So we go to the base to get the sticker for the car, and then I realize I don’t have all the documents I need. I do not want to go all the way home after taking the time to look pretty, so we head over to the other mall which is on the other side of town. I got a little lost and by the time we found Babies R Us Ronan was very upset. Which wasn’t too great for my headache that I’ve had due to the lack of sleep we’ve gotten the past few nights. So I feed him in their nursing room and then we do some shopping. Then we head over to the mall. We pass the petstore on our way in and the puppies in the window are all sleeping. Too bad, but then Ronan looks a little sleepy too. We do some shopping at the disneystore and I get a smoothie for lunch. Finally Ronan is very ready to go home and is letting everyone in the mall know it. He is screaming and my head feels like an alarm clock is going off inside. On our way out we pass the petstore again… Posted by Hello

Ronan saw the two puppies in the window of the petstore and became facinated instantly. He watched them as they played with eachother, just like two brothers wrestling. He soon forgot his troubles and started to smile and laugh. We went inside the petstore and went to the back where all the doggies live. He could get right up to the puppies, eye level infact, and they would bark and jump for his attention. We must have come at a good time because there was not one dog sleeping. Ronan would get close to the glass window and look at the puppies inside. Then he would smile and laugh…and laugh, and laugh, and laugh. I have never seen or heard him laugh like this or so repetivly before. I was laughing with him and other customers were commenting on how the baby was laughing at the puppies. He really liked the chowchow the best. Too bad we don’t have a home for it or the 1500 it costs…but he was very cute. I told Ronan he looked like a teddy bear and he laughed. It really was the cuttest thing in the world, watching Ronan laguh, and almost bittersweet. Because Ryan couldn’t be here to watch him laugh like this. Posted by Hello

I had one of the employees hold Ronan so I could get a good shot of his happy little face next to one of the puppies! Now if only I had my video camera to capture those precious laughs! Posted by Hello

Since we got daddy’s first (hard earned) paycheck this week, we decided to get so much needed items for RoRo. Though we couldn’t find the brand of babyfood grinder we wanted (will have to order online!), we did find some other essentials: a sun hat to keep the sunoff his face, head and neck; sunglasses and baby spf lotion; baby spoons and bowls for his bananas; and a fan for Disneyland.  Posted by Hello

So Tired…

Well Ronan must be growing because we were up off and on from 0300 – 0630. Needless to say, we didn’t make it to church today. He has been wanting to eat a lot, and this usually means a growth spurt is just around the corner. Tonight at dinner, Ronan had a little treat. We went to Sweet tomatoes, one of my favourite restaurants, and Ronan had some melon. It was so funny watching him eat it. The melon was cut into the long smile-like-slices (like the moon) and Ronan would bite right into the middle of the melon and just suck all the juice out as hard as he could. Nonna thought it looked liked a little pig eating corn. Not that Ronan looks like a pig or that we are referring to him as a pig in a derogatory manner. But just to help you get the image, since we did not have the camera available to share with you another cute moment from the life of Ronan Avi.

We got a letter!

Or should I say, I got a mother’s day card from Ryan with a really long letter inside. It was really awesome to hear from Ryan again. It really raised my spirits. Ronan, Nonna, and I went back to the photo place to look at Ronan’s pictures. They were good and we chose a cute one (in wallet, since Ryan has not a lot of space left for pictures) for daddy. We also signed up for their club so now we can go in any time and have them take Ronan’s picture, at no cost! It doesn’t matter how many people are in the photo either…pretty cool! Well Ronan is ready for a nap, and I say that I am too. I hope you are enjoying your 3-4 hours of sleep, if that, Ryan! We love you very much!
