Friday the 13th

Today we went to the base and turned in our application for DEERS and I got my military ID card. We also enrolled for our health benefits…it was an exciting day at base. Next time we come we have to get the stickers for our car and do a shelf check at the commisary and BX….how exciting! I admit having my ID card back was an exciting moment for me. If Ryan is still in the Air Force, Ronan will get his at his first double digit birthday! Then a little while after we got back home, we got a surprise phone call from daddy! He had a 30 minute break and used it to call home. We really enjoyed talking to him. Posted by Hello

Its Photo Time!

I got some coupons in the mail for baby photos at the photo place at the mall. So I made an appt. yesterday for Ronan to go today. We got there 10 minutes early but they ended up not seeing us for another 30 minutes…so I’m glad Ronan was still in a good mood. He got some photos in his wonderoo diapers and some in a cute green shirt and blue overalls. The one shot I was looking forward to was one of him in a basket, but by then he was tired of photos and we couldnt get him to stop crying and kicking himself out of it. But before then he was all smiles and talking away. He really talks more everyday…its just baby talk, but all the cute all the same. It was going to be two hours before the proofs were done, so we will go back maybe tommorrow with Nonna. I get a free 8 by 10 along with the free sitting fee. I have coupons for 4-6 months, 7-9 months, and 10-12 months. They each have something free you get with it but you have to pay for the sitting fee. I hope this turns out really well! Hopefully I’ll get a replacement camera soon so I can continue taking my own photos of Ronan. Well he is waking up from his afternoon nap, I better go get his bananas ready! He really loves them!

P.S. Thank you to everyone who has sent Ronan letters and who has called and emailed me about him. It really means so much to us! God Bless you all!

Hummingbirds, bananas, and naps.

Well today has been a really full day of EASY. I cannot remember how many naps Ronan has had today, but I hope he sleeps tonight. But really we have gone through the whole eating, activity, sleep/me time so many times today. I feel like we have done so much, yet thats all we have done. Do you get it? Ronan ate his bananas outside today, because it was so nice out. He liked playing with the humingbird chimes that are outside. I got to do a lot of knitting today and that is really like the new yoga. It is so relaxing. Ronan is sleeping now and I hope he gets a good nights rest. Goodnight Ryan…we miss you so much! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Prayers for Daddy

Well we didn’t beat the postman today, so our letter to Ryan will get mailed tommrow. We stopped putting photos in the letters because we know he has limited space for them. We will ask him about them next time he gets a chance to call. We have been praying for Daddy and his upcoming PT testing in week 4. Right now he is in week 2, we believe. It is actually 7 weeks of basic training with weeks 0-6. We are so excited about coming out to see him!

Ronan has been a little ‘cranky’ i guess would be the term. He is happy when you are playing with him but dare to put him down and he gets upset. After he eats bananas it makes him a little happier, and sometimes he is crying because he is just tired. But boy, with out Ryan or Grandpa to play with him, it really wears me out. By the end of the night its baby and mommy who crash into bed. Gnight all…

Happy Mother’s Day!

Today is Mothers Day! It was just Nonna, Ronan and I today. Grandpa is on TDY, Daddy is at Basic, Zoe is antisocial with her own family…We went to church, came home and had homemade blueberry muffins. We had dinner at Chueys and Ronan had a special treat! Posted by Hello

Ronan had his first bites of real food! We had been giving him a taste of things like banana and apples (things he could suck on) and then I also tried putting grapefruit juice in his mouth…which he seemed to think was interesting! He had been pretty fussy, so Nonna took some banana, put it in the vita-mix, and then started feeding Ronan. He really liked it! Some came back out and went back in his mouth again…some went on his onesie…and some made it to his tummy. Looks like his is enjoying it! Posted by Hello
