We are over half way through Love Week and so close to Valentines Day. I have been having fun sharing with you some of my most favourite photographs taken by our long time friend and photographer Miriam Pinkston. We we asked why we chose Wales as our destination for our Vow Renewal and honestly it has the best of everything. Breathtaking views, rich culture, history, romantic settings, and picturesque coastlines. The places I have lived the longest have always been by the sea and it was so important that we get our pictures taken by the ocean.
My sister let me borrow her very high platformed gold heels. However beautiful for a photo op very unpractical to walk in past the pavement to the beach.
It is important for me that I mention that the last time I saw my father while he was alive was when he visited us in Hawaii. After serving 30+ years in the USAF he traded in his officer uniforms for aloha shirts and grew out his hair into a ponytail. When he came to visit us he spent more time underwater scuba diving than I think he did on dry land. In life he was an example of the Aloha Spirit. So when I see rainbows I now think of my dad. After our vow renewal as we we drove from Portmeirion to the beach the sky was filled with the most beautiful rainbow. My dad was smiling down from heaven and it was wonderful.
I loved being able to wear my dress again and to renew my love and my vows to my husband ten years after we became husband and wife. How wonderful and beautiful life is when you have love.
Ready to see more photographs? I continue this series tomorrow with the next installment from our time in Wales. Stay tuned later in the week for a special wedding video of our special 10th Anniversary Vow Renewal!
