It is Travel Tuesday and we continue Love Week here at A Compass Rose. Today I take you to the coastal resort of Portmeirion. This is where we had our ceremony for our 10th Wedding Anniversary Vow Renewal in Wales. It is a really beautiful town that has a very Italian look to it as it is nestled in the woods and on the coast of the Welsh ocean. The colours are beautiful and it was a perfect place to renew our vows. If you are headed to Wales I recommend making a point to visit Portmeirion in Northern Wales. Owned by a charitable trust it is open year round with cafes, shops, hotels, and self catered cottages. While it does look like a piece of history, Portmeirion was built and designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis in the last century in the style of an Italian village. This coastal resort has served as the location for many films and television programmes. The most famous being “The Village” and “The Prisoner”, a 1960’s programme.
Ready to see more photographs? I continue this series tomorrow for our look at our photographs by the beach. Stay tuned later in the week for a special wedding video of our special 10th Anniversary Vow Renewal!

I have to give a shout out to one of the bloggers who linked up with us last week. This is Amber and I really enjoyed her blog post about going to Berlin. She shared both the sites, the history, and the food to try! I might also be slightly jealous that she had Germknodel without me. 😉
Do not forget to head over to my co-hosts blogs, Melanie and Tina, to see who they picked and to share your travel stories and wanderlust addictions with us all in the link up below!
