Vow Renewal: The Naked Cake
We are nearing the end of Love Week and one day away from the ceremony photos and video. Today we fast forward to the return back to our B&B in Wales where we changed outfits and had some cake! I wore the same trousers from my wedding, but opted for my favourite colour top instead of the white blazer this year. It is our 10th Wedding Anniversary Vow Renewal in Wales and I wanted to do keep things simple while making everything perfect and designed around us. When it came to the cake I decided to do go the naked cake route. Continue reading
Vow Renewal: Beach in Wales
We are over half way through Love Week and so close to Valentines Day. I have been having fun sharing with you some of my most favourite photographs taken by our long time friend and photographer Miriam Pinkston. We we asked why we chose Wales as our destination for our Vow Renewal and honestly it has the best of everything. Breathtaking views, rich culture, history, romantic settings, and picturesque coastlines. The places I have lived the longest have always been by the sea and it was so important that we get our pictures taken by the ocean. Continue reading
Vow Renewal: Portmeirion, Wales
It is Travel Tuesday and we continue Love Week here at A Compass Rose. Today I take you to the coastal resort of Portmeirion. This is where we had our ceremony for our 10th Wedding Anniversary Vow Renewal in Wales. It is a really beautiful town that has a very Italian look to it as it is nestled in the woods and on the coast of the Welsh ocean. The colours are beautiful and it was a perfect place to renew our vows. Continue reading
Vow Renewal: Bridal Portraits
A new week begins and we continue Love Week here at A Compass Rose. Today I share with you my favourites from my bridal portraits taken by Miriam Pinkston Photography. We shot at the Bed & Breakfast in Wales where we were staying for the week and at the coastal resort of Portmeirion. Continue reading
Vow Renewal: The Serenade
Today marks the day twelve years ago that Ryan and I started dating. It is another reason I felt this would be a perfect time to recap our vow renewal. As we continue Love Week with the recap of our 10th Anniversary Vow Renewal I share with you the next part entitled ‘The Serenade’. My son Ronan had been learning the ukulele in school which my family loves since we used to live in Hawaii. Ronan really wanted to play something for us on our special day so he provided the music as my other son, Maddox, walked me down the stairs. Continue reading
Love Week Recap
The photo above is my first sneak peek photograph from my shoot with my photographer friend, Miriam Pinkston. I met Miriam and her husband before they even started dating back during our days at University. Today they have three boys and are expecting their fourth child very soon and we now have two boys on our own. So between us we had five boys under the ages of eight playing around together while we were in Wales. It was just so much fun to see them interact and it was like no time had passed when it came to us adults back together again after a decade. Miriam was so wonderful and took the photographs for us and I was just too excited today to not share one. I really loved this one because it was one of the last ones taken while we were on the beach. We were nearly the only ones there and it was just so beautiful.
Love Week has ended and I would like to thank everyone participated by reading the guest posts, for the sweet comments, and all the wonderful messages sent over the different social media sites using the #RyanAndBonnie Thank you also to all ten of the bloggers who guest posted while we were away in Wales, up in London, and in Oxford during our time with family and friends for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. I was just so touched by all the love, not just bestowed to Ryan and I, but to each of the amazing guest bloggers. Thank you to my readers for making this such a success and to the guest bloggers for encouraging each other. I have quite a bit to catch up on and I am hoping to be able to have all messages and comments replied too before too long. Just be patient with me while I get back to you all and know from the bottom of my heart how appreciative I am for your friendship and support.
