Church & Park

The weather is certainly getting much warmer and I am kinda hoping it will stay that way through to the summer.  We did not make it to church at all last month because of the weather with walking and no car.  The boys were so excited to be back in bible class.  So much so that Ronan wanted to take his brother to his class. I still escorted them to their right places to make sure they got where they were supposed to go.  The singing was incredible again this morning and something I definitely missed. Just wish that Ryan did not have to work on Sunday mornings so I had someone to sit with in service.  Afterwards the boys and I got some fresh bread and yogurt from the store for a morning snack and headed to the park in town for them to play.  The love going to this park and with the sun out and the rain and mud kept at bay, we were able to stay quite a while. Here are some of the photographs taken this morning and I have to say I really do not miss taking horrid shots on my old iPhone.

Stained glass windows, stone arches, and the high ceiling beams at church. <3

Park Time

The boys have the week off from school do to half term.  I took a holiday from work today to watch the boys so we headed to the park.  They had fun playing and then we headed back through the trail for lunch at home.

Maddox loved the yellow gold on the tree; his favourite colour!
Namaste.
Ready to play tag?
Hes got a very strong faith.  He’s praying for a baby sister at this moment. :)

Football in the Park (and the rain!

It is just the boys and I for the rest of the week while Ryan is away on a trip with his classmates.  Despite  not having their dad here, I aim to keep life fun.  Even though England is giving us some pretty miserable weather, I took the boys to the park straight from school.  I did not really plan on the mud and right away we were all slipping and slidding. Or to be fair, I was the one slipping and almost biting it hard in the mud.  To add to the theatrics, the boys afterwards were ready to take aim at my backside with the muddy football. It was lots of laughter and smiles and we had a whole bunch of fun.

I took the boys to the park after school to play football.
It was wet and muddy but we had quite a bit of fun never the less.
The rain really started to come down but frowns were nowhere in sight.
After homework we watched TRON from the 80’s with dinner.
Keeping the diet Ryan cooks we had Salmon for our meal.

Playground and Accents

Ronan is doing his best to do his reading homework in an English accent. I’m listening trying not to giggle too loud so he figures out I’m listening and stops. I love when the boys slip into an accent without realizing it and when they imitate words they hear classmates and teachers say at school. It is too cute. xx

Christmas Shopping Date in London

Kua ‘Aina Grill in London

I used to work on Tuesdays but things got a little too hectic at home and so I took to not taking those extra hours in the salon.  Ryan does not have class or work this semester on Tuesday so we found ourselves finally in years with one day to spend with just ourselves.  Well at least while the boys are in school.  With Christmas fast approaching, we decided to take to London for a little Christmas shopping.  As we got off the train we headed through the park where I really enjoyed watching the ducks.  I really enjoy all the parks in England. They are usually quite beautiful and quaint. After a yummy breakfast of warm food we headed to the toy store again for christmas shopping.  It was a really fun outing and makes me really look forward to more Tuesdays like this.  We even found a restaurant chain that we had in Hawaii!  Nothing like a bit of Aloha to make you feel warmer in the cold English weather.  Alas all the fun to be had today was finalized with a little bit of drama trying to get back home.  Unfortunately in the winter months it seems a lot of people decide to take their lives and jump in front of trains.  This happened and it delayed us getting back to the boys by a few hours. With not having any contacts we can rely on in situations like this it made it quite stressful.  My thoughts do go out to the family of the individual who ended their life.  Quite sad.
