Dinner in London with Brian

Just got back from London.  I took the boys up there on the train straight from school.  We met up for dinner with Brian, my friend Liisa’s husband.  We decided to eat close to the station at the Shakespeare Public house pub.  Food was great and we had a great time catching up.  Hopefully will get to meet up with Liisa soon.  When I got back and put the boys to bed it was time to climb under the covers, turn on my heater, and possibly a warm cuppa. Baby its so cold outside! Excited about seeing Miss Evette Sham this weekend! That makes seeing 4, or 4.5 if I count Liisa Roberts by way of lovely gifts, friends from Hawaii in a matter of a week. So great to catch up with friends in person to start of 2012. xx —

Melissa & Nick visit!

Newlyweds Melissa & Nick
Had a great time catching up with my friend Melissa Hurley and her husband Nick. A little tour around Brighton and the shops, followed by a very yummy dinner at the Jamie Oliver Italian restaurant in Brighton and dessert at… Starbucks 😛 Loved catching up since our three years spent in Hawaii. Miss our photo shoot sessions, but know we will meet up again. PS. Thank you Melissa for furthering my Chanel addiction 😉 xx ♥ B.

Ronan’s Attitude

I have the boys change out of their school uniforms as soon as they get home so that everything they need for the next day goes exactly where it needs to be. I dislike searching for missing items. Ronan A Aherin comes back in wearing the white shirt and tie you see in our 2012 family photo. I sighed and asked him why he decided to wear that and not get into his warm pyjamas. This was his response with a teenager boy attitude, “I just wanted to look cute mum! Can’t I look cute?! Fine I will just go back and change!” Before he could storm off, I gave in and I told him he could look cute.

Playground and Accents

Ronan is doing his best to do his reading homework in an English accent. I’m listening trying not to giggle too loud so he figures out I’m listening and stops. I love when the boys slip into an accent without realizing it and when they imitate words they hear classmates and teachers say at school. It is too cute. xx

Happy New Years!

It is January first of 2012 and we start a brand new year!  Happy New Years to all our friends and family!  Our family looks forward to a new year in England and all that 2012 has in store for us.  This morning we got dressed and headed outside to do our family portraits for 2012.  Sadly just as we got the tripod set it England met us with a downpour of rain.  Despite the quick shoot below is our family photo and I really love how it turned out.  After our shoot we had breakfast in town and then stopped at the beloved game store for some New Years treats.  I believe we will have some black eyed peas for dinner.  I hope everyone has a wonderful new years and that you keep to your resolutions for a successful and productive 12 months ahead.
