Pancake Day!
Today is the official Pancake Day! I did not know about this holiday until this week when I was in Sainsbury’s and saw a ‘Pancake Day’ display with all like items available for purchase. With Ryan and I both having the day free, I met him in Brighton for lunch. Technially this was my breakfast, but we had yummy crepe like pancakes. Later on we met up with his university friend, Krista, and her boyfriend, Nick, for two rounds of Laser tag! This was my first time playing and I was not the best player but it was so much fun! I really want to take the boys to go play. For dinner we had pancakes again so that the boys could take part of this silly holiday. Ryan made homemade pancakes with zucchini and I put nutella and fresh strawberries on mine. It was very declicious!

Valentines Day
10 years ago Ryan and I had our first date at University. We spent the next weekend, Valentines Day, on a trip to Austin, TX with our traveling theatre troupe. I remember catching him looking at me across the table at dinner. Tonight, ten years later, I caught him looking at me with that exact same look. Here’s to another ten Valentines. ♥
For Valentines Day we had aimed to see a castle, but it was not in our cards this year. However we had a really nice time out in the town of Hastings. The boys got to climb rocks and see a beautiful look out, they played at the park, we walked through the town, and we had a wonderful supper at a very old and historical pub. We topped off the night with a stop in an authentic old sweet shop.

Snow Day!
After going to bed knowing there would be much more snow on the ground, we were all quite excited to wake up and play in it. The boys and I got dressed for the snow and then headed out to get breakfast on the way and a sledge (a sled in the US). We went to the football park nestled in the middle of the town where there were quite a bit of inclines perfect for sledging. We had fun also making snowman, throwing snowballs, and making snow angels. Ryan came and met us after work and by the time we went back home we had been in the snow for three hours! I love being in the snow and I was pleasantly surprised to find the snow was so perfect for so many snowy activities. The boys were very eager to get some hot cocoa back on the way home and talk about all the fun they had in the snow. It was a great way to finish up the weekend.

Shopping & Snow
Ryan and I spent another Tuesday date together. This time we went up to Crawley for a little shopping. I love shopping but I do find it hard to spend money on myself, compared to buying things for the boys. I am however a love for deals. So while Ryan and I enjoyed some time together, I kept my eyes open. I got a new iPhone cover for just £1 with Mr. Men on it (to make the boys smile) and two pairs of shoes for a grand total of £11! But better than any deals was the weather. Yes it was cold but instead of rain we had snow. It started snowing while we were out and at one point the snowflakes were quite big. I loved having the snow fall! It made the day out so beautiful and special.
